The MLSP 2022 host ancient city of Xi’an has over 3,000 years of history. Xi’an is one of the most important cradles of Chinese civilization, as it has served as the first capital of a unified China and in total the capital of fourteen Chinese dynasties periodically from the 11th century BC to the early 10th century AD. Xi’an was the starting point of the famous “Silk Road” in the east that linked China with central and west Asia and Europe. Being historically and culturally significant, Xi’an in addition to several national museums has a lot of historical ruins and cultural relics some of which are still unearthed. Today Xi’an is the most important city in the western part of China. It boasts many famous universities, institutes and academies, and is ranked No. 3 in number of universities and colleges in China. With around 60 public and private universities and colleges, Xi’an has created a solid ecosystem for innovation with global competitiveness.
